For those of you have always wanted to yell at me in person, this is your chance! I will be signing books at Pasteiner’s Cars & Coffee this Saturday (3/19) from 9 - 11 a.m. That is on Woodward Ave, just north of 14 Mile in Birmingham.
And it won’t just be me there. There will be cars and, from what I hear, perhaps coffee. For those of you unfamiliar, Pasteiner’s is a really cool book store. That is, if you are into cars. And if you are on this site, we can surmise that you are.
So if you are in the tri-county area this Saturday, stop by. In fact, I’ll up the ante here. I will bring ten (10) copies of the Lemon Law Bible with me. I will GIVE them away for free to the first ten people who mention Oppositelock or Jalopnik to me. No purchase required; while supplies last.

This website may supply general information about the law but it is for informational purposes only. This does not create an attorney-client relationship and is not meant to constitute legal advice, so the good news is we’re not billing you by the hour for reading this. The bad news is that you shouldn’t act upon any of the information without consulting a qualified professional attorney who will, probably, bill you by the hour.

Of course I’ll be stuck at home watching the kid when my wife is doing church activities elsewhere.

I want to go to C&C, but I also want to watch all of the 12h of Sebring. Given the drive, and the start time, there’s no way to make it all work. So, I guess no book or coffee for me this time, just cars and breakfast beer. Hope you have fun (weather looks pretty good for tomorrow)!

That’s what DVRs are for.

Yea, but the old racing buddies I’m watching and drinking with don’t really fit on the hard drive anymore. We’ve all increased our file size in our decrepitude.

Now there’s proof that you’ve really hit the big time! I’ve always been afraid to go in there lol. I don’t think my wallet would survive the journey...

I probably was still there. I was the only one (I think) wearing a hunting camo jacket.

Camo? Well no wonder I didn’t notice you! lol
It was pretty crowded inside. I had a blue flannel jacket on.

have you ever been to Great Lakes Hobby & Train on Van Dyke at 19 Mile Rd? They’ve got die-cast cars coming out their ears. Plus they buy people’s old collections so I’ve scored a few older plastic model kits I remember from when I was a kid.

A while back I got an open but complete ‘72 Cougar annual kit. I’ve been meaning to finish it for a decade now. it’s 90% done but the vinyl tires it came with hardened and shrunk in the 40 years since. now that I’ve found a good set of tires, I need to slap ‘em on, glue on the front and rear fascias, and put it on the shelf:
